It is with great excitement that A Willing Participant, Inc. announces our recent recognition as a two-time Gold Winner at the 2018 international AVA Digital Awards.

A Willing Participant scored one Gold Winner award for our production of the mini-documentary, "Failure Disrupted: 25 Years of Closing the Achievement Gap." The documentary portrays the stories of those making a difference at Chicago-based Accelerate Institute. The organization is a driving force behind closing the achievement gap in urban education.

AWP took home a second Gold Winner award for our web-based "Rewrite the Story" campaign. The work was designed to bolster fundraising efforts for the Orlando Sentinel Family Fund. The organization, which is the charitable arm of Florida's Orlando Sentinel news publication, works to address children's education, child abuse, homelessness and hunger in the community.

Our agency was recognized for both campaigns at the 2017 MarCom Awards ceremony as well.

"No campaign should ever set out to win an award. If that's your drive, you're doing your client a huge disservice," AWP Creative Director Mark Bloom said of the awards. "But when things come together just right [on a client's campaign] ... it's a nice feeling knowing your peers recognize great work."

The 2018 AVA Digital Awards attracted 2,500 entries from the United States, Canada and 16 other countries. The awards ceremony recognizes work in the areas of video, audio and online production. All work is judged by members of the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
