In our latest of many recent award ceremony announcements, A Willing Participant, Inc. is pleased to share we've picked up yet another award for our work on a recent education mini-documentary.

The work, titled, "Failure Disrupted: 25 Years of Closing the Achievement Gap," received a Platinum award at the 2018 Hermes Creative Awards. The documentary was produced for our Chicago-based client Accelerate Institute. It details the nonprofit's ongoing efforts to transform underperforming urban schools in America.

"Failure Disrupted" was also recently recognized at the following award ceremonies:

In addition to the Platinum Hermes, A Willing Participant picked up a Gold Hermes and an Honorable Mention.

The Gold was for Accelerate Institute's mini-documentary, "Ryan Award Winner: Alexa Sorden." That documentary showcases Sorden's work at Concourse Village Elementary School in New York City's Bronx borough. Sorden received the Ryan Award after leading Concourse students to be top-performers in statewide testing as founding principal.

A Willing Participant's Honorable Mention was for the short documentary: "Ryan Award Winner: Elizabeth Vandlik." Also a Bronx educator, Vandlik is the principal of Success Academy Bronx 1. Success Academy students also outperformed other students in New York City and New York state in standardized testing under Vandlik's leadership.

The 2018 Hermes Creative Awards was judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Other notable winners include Allstate Insurance, Harvard Business School and Pfizer Inc.
