AWP Brings Home 2 'Gold' Honors From the 2022 MUSE Creative Awards

The results are in from the International Award Associate's (IAA) 2022 MUSE Creative Awards: Season 2, and this time around, A Willing Participant, Inc. (AWP) has bagged two "Gold" distinctions for our video production work.

The short video, entitled "IMPACT 2022: 30 Years of Igniting Academic Achievement," won "Gold" from MUSE in the categories of "Video - Educational" and "Video - Nonprofit." It was created for AWP's client Accelerate Institute, and debuted at the educational nonprofit organization's annual Impact Dinner at Chicago Cut Steakhouse on Thursday, September 29.

Since 1992, Accelerate Institute—known formerly as the Inner-City Teaching Corps—has worked to deliver educational equity for students at schools in under-resourced communities. Initially working with Chicago-area teachers in the organization's early days, it has since evolved to support 100s of school leaders from around the country as Accelerate Institute.

"30 Years of Igniting Academic Achievement" is largely centered around the stories of Taylor K. Shaw and Martin Hunter, who are alumni of Alain Locke Charter School, an Accelerate Institute-associated school in Chicago's East Garfield Park neighborhood. It also features a number of Accelerate Institute partner educators.

The 2022 MUSE Creative Awards: Season 2 received more than 6,000 entries globally. Creative professionals from nearly 40 countries applied to sit on the grand jury panel, of which just 100 jurors were accepted. Entries were awarded with distinctions at the following levels: "Platinum MUSE"; "Gold MUSE"; and "Silver MUSE."

Also honored at this year's MUSE Awards were organizations such as: Mozilla; The Ritz-Carlton; Electronic Arts; W Hotels; Penn State; McKinsey Global Publishing; Anheuser-Busch InBev; NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®; Intuit QuickBooks; University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and Vita Coco.

The Season 2 "entries were truly astounding, and they certainly bring the level of competition up a notch,” Thomas Brandt, IAA spokesperson, said in a press release. “The team is absolutely in awe of the level of creativity and ingenuity that is in the industry.”
