A Willing Participant, Inc. (AWP) is very happy to announce the receipt of yet another award for its mini-profile of Newark, New Jersey educator Jody Jones.
The production, "Jody Jones - Ryan Awardee 2018" was a Silver Award winner at the 15th Annual Davey Awards.
The recognition for the Jody Jones video is just the latest in a series of recent awards. The work was also honored at the 2019 Communicator Awards; 2019 Telly Awards; and 2019 Hermes Awards.
Jones is the recipient of the prestigious Ryan Award, an honor bestowed upon two high-impact urban school leaders each year by AWP's Chicago-based client Accelerate Institute.
AWP won a separate Silver Davey Award for a second Accelerate Institute video, "Achieving More: The Accelerate Institute Story."
The production, which debuted at Accelerate Institute's annual Impact Dinner last year, chronicles the organization's efforts to close the achievement gap in America's urban schools by partnering with school leaders like Jones.
AWP received a third Silver Award for its work on the 2018 Accelerate Institute Annual Report.
This year's Davey Awards drew nearly 3,000 submissions from "small shop" ad agencies, digital agencies, graphic designers, public relations firms and other creative shops from around the world.
The Davey Awards were created specifically for "honoring outstanding creative work from the best small shops from across the world," according to the organization.
The Davey Awards are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), which includes executives from organizations such as Condé Nast, Disney and Microsoft.
"We are proud to once again showcase the outstanding work that comes from small shops across the globe," AIVA Executive Director Derek Howard said in a press release. Award winners "utilize flawless execution, groundbreaking technology, and a fresh approach to the thought process to produce top-tier content."
